Working with a cold rolled bar stock raw material, Ernie's Tool Time uses CNC milling to manufacture a cold rolled steel product, used in the automotive industry. We begin with a cold rolled flat bar, weighing 2 pounds. Using our cold cut saw, we saw it to a length of 4.125" and a width of 2". We then carry out milling, drilling, and tapping processes on a CNC vertical machining center, producing two larger holes and six smaller ones, featuring internal threading. All processes are carried out to a tolerance of +/- 0.005".
This customer supplied a drawing for us to work from - we accept digital files in the DXF, DWG, PDF, and TIFF formats, as well as faxes. We manufacture this particular product in 500 piece runs, and package and ship it to our client in cardboard box packaging. |
